Cedar Falls Residents Review Playground Equipment Plans
Clay Street Park To Receive New Playground Equipment in 2027

A handful of Cedar Falls residents attended a public input meeting Wednesday night on the Clay Street Park Playground Renovation project. Parks Division Supervisor Kevin Cross says this is the first of several city parks that will see future renovations.
Cross says the playground equipment is roughly 30 years old and has reached the end of its useful life, and he explains how residents are playing a part in selecting new playground equipment options.
Cross says the cost of the new playground equipment will be between $60,000 and $65,000. He says he’s hopeful that the equipment can be installed next year.
The meeting was held in the shelter area at Clay Street Park, at 15th and Clay Streets in Cedar Falls. Â
