Sand Takes 100 Town Hall Tour To Waterloo

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand brought his 100 Town Hall Tour to Waterloo Monday night, and over 1,000 supporters packed the Waterloo Convention Center. Sand laid out his plans and talked about how he’s ready to get to work tackling Iowa’s toughest challenges, from improving water quality and addressing the cancer crisis to expanding access to affordable health care, strengthening Iowa’s economy and public schools, and lowering costs for hardworking families.
Sand told the crowd it’s time to reverse the tough challenges Iowans have faced over the past 10 years.
After over an hour in the venue, Sand left the crowd with something to think about before November 3rd.
Prior to the Town Hall, Sand met with local media. He shared his thoughts on the announcement of the $15 billion steel plant, planned for southeast Iowa. It’s expected to bring in thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in investment to the state.
