2nd District House Republican candidate Joe Mitchell addressed the Waterloo Rotary Club Monday afternoon. Mitchell, of Clear Lake, is a lifelong Iowan, real estate developer and Trump administration official. He spoke on his campaign and of major areas of his agenda, including not taking corporate PAC money.
Mitchell says he also wants to push for term limits.
He also wants to focus on a stock trading ban for members of Congress and to stop the lawmaker-to-lobbyist pipeline.
He will face Democrat candidate Lindsay James, Libertarian candidate Rick Stewart, and Independent candidate Dave Bushaw for the District 2 seat on November 3rd.
