Waterloo Teen Arrested After Shots Fired At Waterloo Home

A 19-year-old Waterloo man has been arrested in connection with a shooting Sunday morning that damaged a home while people were inside.  Waterloo Police say they were called to the area of North Barclay Street and Gable Street just before 8AM on reports of multiple gunshots. Neighbors reporting hearing between 10 and 12 shots.  Officers say they found damage to the front of a home in the 600 block of Gable Street that was consistent with that gunfire. People were home at the time, but no one was hurt. Police collected evidence and continued their investigation. On Tuesday, the Waterloo Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team arrested Najier Burkett. Burkett was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon. He is being held at the Black Hawk County Jail.
