Waterloo Hosts City-Wide Clean-Up Day

The City of Waterloo will be hosting a city-wide clean-up event on Sept. 12 from 8 AM to 2 PM at the Waste Management Services site on 3505 Easton Avenue. The event is open to all Waterloo residents. Proof of residency may be required. To help cover costs, the city will charge $2 per vehicle visit, $1 for each major appliance up to three and $4 per tire. Residents can drop off appliances like refrigerators, washers, dryers and microwaves. They can also bring tires from cars and pickup trucks, general bulk items like furniture, televisions, computers and clothing, and gas-powered equipment such as lawnmowers and snowblowers. All gas-powered equipment must be drained of gas and oil before it’s dropped off.
