Waterloo Man Charged With August Cedar Falls Home Burglary

An 18-year old Waterloo man has been charged in connection with a residential burglary last month.  Cedar Falls Police responded to a report of the burglary in the 9900 block of Opal Lane on August 5th. Officers determined that the incident had occurred earlier in the day and involved an individual with a mutual acquaintance to the resident. During the incident, the suspect forced his way into the residence, assaulted an occupant, and removed personal property that did not belong to him. Officers later identified the suspect as Romeo Deshawn Hill. He’s been charged with first degree burglary, first degree robbery, both class B felonies, assault causing bodily injury and fourth degree criminal mischief, both serious misdemeanors.
