7.6.26 – Area Class 2A & 1A 1st Round District Baseball Scores

The high school baseball postseason got underway for several area teams Monday night with 1st Round District games in Class 2A and 1A. 

The following games were originally scheduled for last Friday, but were rescheduled due to rain. 

In Class 2A games involving area teams;

Columbus Catholic shutout Postville, 7-0,

Denver beat Crestwood, 9-3,

Aplington-Parkersburg doubled up Hudson, 8-4,

South Hardin overpowered Sumner-Fredericksburg, 18-7,

And Oelwein slipped past Jesup, 3-2.

In Class 1A games involving area teams;

Wapsie Valley hammered Dunkerton, 12-1,

And North Tama rolled past Clarksville, 14-5.
