Berths to the high school girls’ soccer State Tournament were on the line Thursday night as Regional Final matches took place in all three classes.
In Class 2A matches involving area schools,
Waverly-Shell Rock rolled past Central DeWitt, 6-0.
In Class 1A matches involving area schools;
Top-ranked Denver slipped past Solon, 1-0, in overtime,
Hudson beat Vinton-Shellsburg, 3-0,
And Iowa Falls-Alden ended Grundy Center-Glabrook-Reinbeck’s season, 4-1.
The 1A Regional Final with Aplington-Parkersburg hosting Dyersville Beckman was rained out and will be played this morning (6/5) at 10.
