6.4.26 – (Rain Plagued) Metro Baseball & Softball Results

Rain caused multiple metro baseball and softball postponements Thursday night.

In metro baseball; 

Waterloo West’s game against Waverly-Shell Rock was rained out,

Waterloo East’s doubleheader against Ottumwa was postponed, 

And Denver beat Columbus Catholic, 12-8, in a game shortened by rain.

In metro softball;

Cedar Falls split a doubleheader at Cedar Rapids Kennedy, losing the first game 6-2 in 14 innings and winning the second, 8-7,

Cedar Rapids Xavier beat Waterloo West, 13-3, and the second game of the doubleheader was rained out,

Waterloo East’s doubleheader with Ottumwa was postponed, 

and Denver beat Columbus Catholic, 5-1, in 5 innings in a game shortened because of rain.
