Tillie D. Considine, 103, Parkersburg

Tillie Dorothy Considine, age 103, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of Tom Richard and Jessie Evelyn (Johnson) Buseman, on January 16, 1923, in Austinville, Iowa. She attended a country school near her home. She began working in different restaurants in the area.

On October 20, 1950, she was united in marriage with Donald Considine in Granite City, Missouri. They lived in Cedar Falls before settling in Parkersburg in 1959. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed watching her grandchildren. Through the years Tillie also worked at Froemming Jewelry Store in Parkersburg and sorting corn at Pioneer.

Tillie was a member of Hope Reformed Church, where she taught Bible school and Sunday school and was a member of the choir and Ladies Guild. Tillie loved to play golf and achieved multiple hole-in-ones. She enjoyed playing cards with her siblings and was an avid Hawkeyes Fan. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and going shopping.

Tillie passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Maple Manor Village in Aplington, Iowa from natural causes.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Considine; her parents; and her brother, Andrew (Ruth) Buseman; and two sisters, Agnes (Don) Card and Darlene (Peter) Saathoff.

Tillie is survived by her daughter Nancy (Allan) Schrage of Parkersburg, Iowa; her three grandchildren, Clay (Liz Nelson) Schrage of Indianola, Iowa, Scott (Angie) Schrage of Van Alystyne, Texas, and Brandon (Autumn) Schrage of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and five great-grandchildren Karli, Kinzi, Drake, Vayda and Gavin.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Hope Reformed Church in Parkersburg, Iowa, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Hope Reformed Church in Parkersburg.
