Waterloo Man’s Trial On Hold For Psychiatric Exam

A trial for a Waterloo man charged with killing his mother in April has been put on hold as a judge in the case has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for the man. 27-year old Nicolas Fettkether is facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of Stephanie Turner. The evaluation would determine if Fettkether is suffering from a mental disorder and whether he is competent to stand trial. The trial was scheduled to start on June 16th.
