Frances I. Schipper, 91, Kesley

Frances Irene Schipper, age 91, of Kesley, Iowa, was born the daughter of Henry and Anna (Ryks) Berends, on June 7, 1934.
Frances was baptized and a member of the Parkersburg Christian Reformed Church. Frances graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1952.
On March 16, 1955, Frances was united in marriage to Alvin C. Schipper at the Christian Reformed Church in Parkersburg. They made their home in Tacoma, Washington for two years. They also lived in rural Parkersburg and Aplington until moving to their home in Kesley. Frances was a home maker and worked in the Kesley Post Office. Frances was an active member of the Bethel Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and a member of the Ladies Guild. She was also a Kesley Auxiliary member.
Frances was a member of bowling leagues and loved to play cards and games with friends and family. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren’s activities.
Frances died on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Maple Manor, in Aplington, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Alvin Schipper; her parents; an infant daughter, Connie; one grandson, Levi Buseman; one great grandson, Aiden Buseman; sisters, Florence Harms, Carrie Kruger, Evelynn Renken, Marjorie Rewerts, Beverly Schipper, Anita Steinmeyer; brother, Marvin Berends.
Frances is survived by her four children, Terry Schipper of Janesville, Cindy (Steve) Dobbs of Janesville, Craig Schipper of Ankeny and Janet (Jim) Johnson of Aplington. nine grandchildren; Jeremy (Larcina) Schipper, Blake (Heidi) Schipper, Nicole (Aaron) DeMoss, Kyle Schipper, Justin (Missy) Buseman, Travis (Heather) Buseman, Lacee’ Schipper, Abigail (Brandon) Parrish, and Lincoln (Maddie) Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin, Dylan, Jake, Alivia, Wyatt, Kinsley, Logan, Addison, CJ, ShyAnne, Shaylan, Addylinn, Oaklynn, Kennedy, and one baby boy due in May; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Rich) Christophel of Aplington, Karen Karjens of Aplington; two sisters-in-law, Esther Schipper of Parkersburg, Marcia Schipper of Kesley; and two brothers-in-law, Robert (Eunice) Schipper of Kesley, and Vern (Mattie) Schipper of Texas.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Bethel Reformed Church, Aplington, Iowa.
Visitation Services will be from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, and one hour prior to services, at the Bethel Reformed Church, Aplington, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to Care Initiative Hospice.
