Cedar Valley and State Gas Prices Spike Higher

Average gas prices in Iowa have gone up nearly 55 cents per gallon over the past week, according to GasBuddy.  The average for a gallon of regular gas in Iowa stood at $3.17 on Monday, up 55 cents from a week earlier.  That’s based on the survey by GasBuddy of Iowa’s over 2,000 gas stations. Prices are also 62 cents higher than a month ago, and 24 cents higher than a year ago. The lowest reported price in the state Sunday was $2.27 per gallon, while in Waterloo-Cedar Falls, the lowest price for gas was $2.79 in Evansdale.
