Dunkerton girls basketball wins Class 1A State Tournament quarterfinal
Yesterday at the high school girls State Basketball Tournament, 5-seed Dunkerton raced past 4-seed Lynnville-Sully, 60-39, in a Class 1A quarterfinal.
The Raiders jumped out to a 23-7 lead after the first quarter and cruised to the win.
Ava Fueling led Dunkerton with 22 points, hitting 6-of-9 threes.
Dunkerton is now 23-2 overall and will next play top-seed Bishop Garrigan in the semifinals tomorrow afternoon at 1:30.
