A fire damaged a house in Cedar Falls Tuesday night. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue crews were called to 1400 W. 18th St., just after 10PM. The fire started on the couch in the living room, and when fire crews arrived, fire was coming out of the front door and window of the home. The sole occupant of the house made it out safely. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire. The home sustained fire, smoke and water damage. There were no injuries. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced resident. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
