Waterloo Police Arrest Two Men For Stealing Copper at Crossroads Mall Site

Two men were arrested on burglary charges in Waterloo on Monday night.  Police responded to a burglary at Crossroads Mall, around 10PM. Officers, aware of recent copper thefts, say they found 40-year old Aaron Mackenzie and 45-year old Justin Holm, in the loading dock area. Officers noted tools used for copper theft at the scene. Mackenzie faces charges of third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, fifth-degree theft, and interference with official acts. Holm is charged with third-degree burglary, interference with official acts, and possession of burglary tools.
