Breaking: Northeast Iowa Woman Facing Over Half-Dozen Child Pornography Charges

A northeast Iowa woman is facing over a half-dozen child pornography charges following her arrest Tuesday (02.24).
The Independence Police Department (IPD) say they have arrested 19-year-old Lillianna Jade Koenigs of Independence after receiving reports in mid-January about alleged sexual abuse. During the investigation, Koenigs was identified as an associate to the alleged offender.
IPD says evidence was discovered that Koenigs was involved in the production, dissemination, and possession of images and videos depicting child exploitation. As a result, Koenigs has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor – producing, Class B felonies; four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor – promoting, Class C felonies; plus one count of dissemination of obscene material, a serious misdemeanor; and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a simple misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaints, Koenigs’ alleged actions occurred between July 1, 2025 and November 1, 2025.
Koenigs is being held in the Buchanan County Jail on $75,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 6th in Buchanan County District Court.
