Independence Man Sentenced to Federal Prison Wednesday

An Independence man was sentenced to more than 12 years in US District Court in Cedar Rapids Wednesday. 42-year old Curtis Lellig pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography last August. Police say Lellig admitted that he knowingly distributed the pornography between December 2022 to January 2024. Lellig was also ordered to pay restitution of $66,000 to twenty victims and serve five years of supervised release following his sentence.
