Elk Run Heights Man Sentenced For Federal Meth Charges

A 31-year old Elk Run Heights man was sentenced to over 17 years in federal prison on methamphetamine charges.  Nicholas Armstrong had been charged with possessing and distributing meth, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Armstrong pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance last September. Armstrong was also sentenced to five years supervised release. Armstrong is currently in the custody of the United States Marshals until he is transported to a federal prison.
