Power Restored Again In Waterloo After Late Night Outage

Power was fully restored in Waterloo after a semi-truck hit a power pole on Elm Street Wednesday evening. The incident occurred near the former Rath Packing Company building shortly after 10:40 p.m. MidAmerican Energy officials reported that the collision broke the pole and brought down power lines, affecting more than 1,000 customers.  Crews rerouted circuits to restore most of the service after midnight. Final repairs were completed, and the last roughly 160 customers had their power restored just before 6 a.m. on Thursday.
