A body was recovered from the Cedar River near the Waverly Rail Trail Bridge on Wednesday morning. Members of the Waverly Fire Department and Waverly Police conducted recovery operations. After an initial investigation, Waverly Police and the Bremer County Medical Examiner found no evidence of foul play. The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. The investigation is continuing.
