Theresa Schiffer, 93, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, with her daughter by her side.
Born on December 5, 1931, in Fall River, Massachusetts. Theresa lived a life centered on faith, love, and family. Her kindness, devotion, and steadfast belief were a blessing to all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki St. James of Cedar Falls; her son, Greg (Ann) Schiffer of St. Paul, MN; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph L. Schiffer Jr.; her loving parents, Lucy (Marques) and Manuel Silva; and her beautiful sister, Bertha.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, at Richardson Funeral Service, with a rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a vigil at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.
