Waterloo Schools Unveils New High School Name, Mascot & Colors

The name for the new Waterloo High School under construction will be Waterloo United.

The mascot will be the Titans and school colors will be black and Vegas gold.

The Waterloo Convention Center was the site Wednesday night for the official unveiling of the new name as well as team mascot and colors for the new school.

School Superintendent Dr. Jared Smith says he’s excited for the initial reaction to the new name.

Smith says it wasn’t completely easy to settle on the school name.

Smith talks about the next steps for the school.

The school is still anticipated for completion by the 2028-29 school year.
