Jared Pirkl named Waverly-Shell Rock High School baseball coach

Waverly-Shell Rock has hired Jared Pirkl to be its new varsity baseball coach.

Pirkl brings 18 years of coaching experience at both the college and high school levels. He’s familiar with the Waverly-Shell Rock program as he previously served as an assistant coach and was part of three state tournament appearances and a state championship in 2015.

Pirkl has been pitching coach at Wartburg the last 14 years.

He replaces BJ Hermsen who resigned after four seasons.
