Cedar Falls Third Ward Candidates Debate Monday

A Cedar Falls City Council debate was held Monday night for candidates running for the city’s 3rd Ward this fall. All three candidates, incumbent Daryl Kruse, and challengers Bob Manning and Tom Nagle participated. A variety of city-related topics were discussed, including the current Mayor/City Administrator system used by the city, along with priorities in the city’s budget and just as important, what they believe is the biggest challenge facing Cedar Falls in the future.  Challenger Tom Nagle.

Kruse sees challenges with the city’s building code.

Manning sees continuing quality of life issues as a continuing challenge.

The 3rd ward is the only challenged race, as the seats in wards one and five and an at-large seat will all be running unopposed, as well as Mayor Danny Laudick.   Craig Fairbanks will be running unopposed for the 5th ward seat being vacated by incumbent Dustin Ganfield, who’s not running for re-election.
