Cedar Falls Woman Arrested After Early AM Chase

A 25-year-old woman is facing several charges after leading Cedar Falls police on a chase early Saturday morning. Around 12:10 AM, an officer tried to stop a 2018 Kia Optima, but police say the driver refused to pull over. The car sped away and eventually crashed into a parked vehicle and a detached garage. No one was inside either at the time. Police say the driver then abandoned the car in an apartment complex parking lot and ran off on foot. Officers eventually arrested the suspect after a brief chase. Arrested was Jade Miller. She is charged with reckless driving, eluding, criminal mischief, interference with official acts, and multiple traffic violations. She was released pending trial.
