Arrest Made After Overnight Pursuit of Suspicious Vehicle In Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls Police were in pursuit of a suspicious vehicle overnight.  Officers say they attempted to stop a black 2016 Chevrolet Equinox near Cedar Ridge Christian School on Division Street around 12:40AM Thursday, but the vehicle fled. Police say the chase ended in the “C” lot on 22nd Street on the University of Northern Iowa campus. The driver, a juvenile male, faces charges of 2nd-degree theft and eluding, both class “D” felonies, as well as reckless driving, a misdemeanor. Cedar Falls Police was assisted by UNI Police and the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department.
