9.23.25 – Metro High School Sports Results

Last night in High School Volleyball involving Metro schools: 

5A 10th ranked Cedar Falls swept Cedar Rapids Jefferson in three-sets.

Waterloo West defeated 3A 14th ranked Dubuque Wahlert in four-sets.

Fort Dodge got past Waterloo East in four-sets. 

And Waterloo Columbus dropped a pair of matches at Oelwein. Gladbrook-Reinbeck beat the Sailors two-sets to none, and Oelwein downed the Sailors two-sets to none.  

Yesterday in Boys High School Golf, Cedar Falls hosted the 13-team Tiger Invitational at Pheasant Ridge. 

Waukee Northwest grabbed first place with a team score of 289. Cedar Falls was 6th with a 310. 

Waterloo West and Waterloo East also both competed. The Wahawks tied for 7th with a 311 and the Trojans finished 13th. 

Jonathan Ward from Waukee was the medalist with a 67. 

Cedar Falls’ Drew Larimer tied for 3rd with a 71.  Waterloo West was paced by Jackson Stanford’s 72. 

Last night in Girls Swimming and Diving, Waterloo West won at Cedar Rapids Washington 110-76.
