Former Waterloo East standout Haley Eckerman selected for University of Texas’ Athletics Hall of Honor

Former Waterloo East high school standout Haley Eckerman has been selected to the University of Texas’ Athletics Hall of Honor.  

A four year starter for the Longhorns, Eckerman was a four-time first team all-American and helped lead Texas to three Final Fours and the 2012 NCAA Championship.

One of the most decorated players in Texas history, she was a two-time National Player of the Year.

Eckerman is currently a head coach at Kent State.
