RAGBRAI Comes to Cedar Falls Thursday

Thousands of cyclists are set to pass through Cedar Falls Thursday as RAGBRAI continues its journey across Iowa. This influx of riders will lead to road closures and detours, impacting both morning and afternoon commutes.  Starting at 5 AM Thursday, downtown Cedar Falls will experience road closures and detours. These measures will remain in place until noon on Friday, when RAGBRAI has moved on. Police Chief Mark Howard emphasized the importance of securing busy intersections and having a mobile medical unit ready, especially given the expected heat.  Officers will be stationed at key intersections, including Main and First Street.  This is the first time RAGBRAI has come through Cedar Falls since 2015.
