Cedar Falls high school to honor AJ Green Friday night, retire No. 4 jersey

Cedar Falls high school will honor former All-State boys basketball standout AJ Green Friday night.

Green will have his No. 4 jersey officially retired at halftime during the Cedar Falls boys home game against Dubuque Hempstead. 

A three-time All-State selection, Green set multiple school records, including career points, points in a season and three-pointers made. He helped lead the Tigers to a Class 4A State Championship in 2018.

After a highly decorated collegiate career at University of Northern Iowa, Green was signed as an NBA free agent by the Milwaukee Bucks. He’s now in his third year with the Bucks and set an NBA record in January, becoming the fastest player in history (in minutes played) to reach 200 made three-pointers.
